The Xenomorph, or more commonly known as the Alien, is a bloodthirsty creature from an unknown planet. Unlike the Predators, Aliens do not posess "normal" intelligence, although they are smarter than most animals.
The Alien life cycle is simple: the Queen lays the eggs, the Facehugger inside the eggs emerge when they sense a suitable host is near, then latch on to their faces, and plant embryos in their throat. So the Facehugger is just a pawn. inside the host, the embryo transforms into a Chestburster, who proseades to, yah, burst out of the host's chest, usually killing them. The Chestbuster soon goes into a cacoon. Eventually, the cacoon will break, and a fully grown Xenomorph is born.
Sometimes, depending on the host, an Alien may take different forms. If attached to a small, four-legged animal like dog, the Alien will be small, will walk on four legs more often. A human will usually result in a larger species. And if the host is a Predator, the Alien will be a Predalien.
